A few of these links I use a lot, a few I just like. None of them are advertisers.

Buddhists

These are sites giving details of retreats and other programmes in the UK in different Buddhist traditions, particularly useful for anyone wanting to develop skill in mindfulness and meditation.

These are other Buddhist sites I have found particularly useful.

This admirable organisation organises seminars to exchange ideas and find common ground between Buddhism and western science.

Alternative Christians

These sites relate to contemporary UK attempts within the Christian tradition to distinguish spirituality from particular beliefs.

Psychologists

These are sites of important contributors to the psychological study of happiness.

Others

This is the site of what is probably the UK’s leading forum for presentation of alternative ideas of spirituality, from relatively mainstream to very colourful!

This is the site of the dojo where I have studied aikido for many years. Obviously I'm a fan, but I can't recommend aikido highly enough. The chief instructor is Andy Hathaway.

This is the site of a new venture supporting people learning and teaching Taichi and Qigong, run by a friend of mine. If you are looking for a mindfulness practice and don't like sitting, these are great arts to learn.

This is the site of my publisher, Findhorn Press

One of the most difficult aspects of pursuing a secular spiritual path is to find like minded people with whom to share ideas and experiences on an everyday basis. The infrastructure doesn't really exist outside religious contexts. The next best thing is to share with inclusive and non-dogmatic religious organisations, in which category I would include many Buddhist, Quaker and Unitarian groups. The following is a Unitarian inspired site with a very inclusive attitude: it aims to be the most diverse and inclusive listing of high quality spirituality programmes and events currently happening across the entire United Kingdom.
